Berulo Ecosystem is a secure and integrated digital solutions platform created by Cyusa Ian Berulo that connects schools, families, communities, local governments, donors, and applicants by enabling real-time ECD, UWI, and School Management through attendance monitoring, accountability, conflict tracking and resolution, violence prevention and response, emergency reporting and alerts, accurate reporting, and early detection of dropout risks. Its education solution, the Berulo App, is used by MINEDUC under the name “KARAME.” The platform also provides transparent and dignified support for people facing serious life challenges while enabling people to communicate, share information, participate in IQ competitions, reward various innovations, and access reliable real-time updates and verified news, ensuring easy, reliable, and data-driven decision-making for institutions and community leaders.

The Berulo Foundation, founded by Cyusa Ian Berulo on August 4, 2017, is dedicated to combating school dropouts, violence, and delinquency, while supporting underprivileged communities. It promotes unity, solidarity, and community collaboration. The foundation trains different age groups, with a particular focus on students and the wider community, in saving and financial literacy. It provides humanitarian aid during times of war, disaster, and in hospitals, fights human trafficking, advocates for human rights, and addresses climate change. It emphasizes using technology for sustainable solutions and empowering the next generation to become responsible, compassionate leaders with empathy and integrity.

A Story of Resilience and Hope

Cyusa Ian Berulo, Founder of Berulo Foundation

“

Cyusa Ian Berulo is a devoted Christian. Born in Rwanda in 1992, a country located in a region often plagued by internal conflicts. In Rwanda, in particular, divisive ideologies led to the genocide against the Tutsi in 1994. His mother tragically passed away while giving birth to him, and his father, along with all of his family, were brutally killed during the genocide against the Tutsi. These devastating losses left him homeless, forcing him to navigate life in extremely harsh conditions.

Despite the overwhelming pain and hardship, he discovered that compassion, deep empathy, and solidarity have the profound power to lift people out of suffering. His passion gave him the strength to overcome these struggles, and his immense empathy continues to guide his mission. This deep realization fuels his personal mission to ensure that others do not endure the anguish he has experienced. It is a promise engraved in his heart, reflected in his powerful motto:

“They shall not suffer as I have suffered.”

Our programs

BERULO CARE is a heartwarming program that was created by Cyusa Ian Berulo and brings children together every weekend to share joyful moments, learn, and grow. It offers a space where kids not only enjoy fun activities, but also learn values of inclusion, respect, and kindness. Through shared meals and laughter, the program fosters a sense of belonging for all the children.

The Forum awards and celebrates the people who keep children in school; the Fellowship turns that recognition into hands-on service alongside them.
